The Swing - Up Grab Bar is made of 304 stainless steel alloy 18 - 8 with a Satin finish. It features 1 - 1/2” diameter (Ø38) wall tubing. The hinge rides on a solid bar axle with twin torsion - spring counterbalance. There's a vertical position gravity lock with manual release, and tamper - resistant screws let you lock the bar vertically. It's easy to operate with one hand. The grab bar tube has a plastic end cap to protect the wall plate during use. This exposed flange (1 - 1/2″ O.D) smooth swing - up grab bar offers both safety and convenience.
Using this swing - up grab bar is a breeze. You can easily operate it with just one hand. To use it, simply swing the bar down from the vertical position. When you're done, swing it back up and use the gravity lock to keep it in place. If you want to lock it in the vertical position more securely, you can use the tamper - resistant screws. As for maintenance, it's made of stainless steel, so it's durable. Just wipe it clean with a soft cloth regularly. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they may damage the Satin finish. Also, check the plastic end caps from time to time to make sure they're in good condition and replace them if needed.
