You can attach them to the rods in the kit using the included washer and nut. The rod's exposed surface has a No. 4 satin finish that matches ASI grab bars. The rods are welded to a stainless steel anchor plate to secure the grab bar to the mounting surface. Only one anchor kit is needed for each grab bar. When installed correctly with the ASI 3919 series kits, the grab bars fully meet the minimum weight capacity rules of ADA and other barrier-free accessibility guidelines.
