The ASI 3456-P is a great horizontal grab bar. It has a 1-1/4-inch diameter and a peened surface for a good grip. Measuring 54 by 36 inches, it's made from 18-gauge stainless steel tubing with a satin finish to reduce fingerprints while looking shiny. At both ends and the angle, there are 3-inch diameter flanges made of type-304, 11-gauge stainless steel, welded securely to the tubing. Each flange has three 7/32-inch predrilled countersunk holes for No. 10 self-tapping or oval head mounting screws (not included), placed every 120 degrees for a secure install. Once mounted, the hardware is fully exposed. This grab bar meets or exceeds ADA requirements.
Using this grab bar is easy. First, choose a suitable location on a wall. Take your No. 10 self - tapping or oval head mounting screws (not included) and insert them through the pre - drilled holes in the flanges. Make sure to place the screws every 120 degrees for a stable installation. After mounting, the grab bar is ready for use. When using it, hold it firmly to support your body. As for maintenance, simply wipe it with a soft cloth regularly to keep its satin finish and prevent fingerprints. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they may damage the surface. Also, check the screws periodically to ensure they're tight and the grab bar remains secure.
