At both ends and the angle of the grab bar, there are 3 - 1/8 - inch diameter flanges. These flanges are made of 1/8 - inch thick type - 304 stainless steel and are securely herliarc welded to the tubing. The grab bar comes with three snap - on flange covers made of 22 - gauge type - 304 stainless steel. Measuring 3 - 3/16 inches in diameter, the covers slide down and snap over the flanges after installation. Their tight fit hides the mounting hardware, protecting the grab bar from tampering and vandalism.
