The ASI 3857 - P is an excellent horizontal grab bar. It has a 1.5 - inch diameter and a peened gripping surface, sized at 54 inches by 42 inches. Crafted from 18 - gauge stainless steel tubing, it has an appealing satin finish that reduces fingerprints while still looking shiny. At each end, there's a 3 - 1/8 - inch diameter flange made of 1/8 - inch thick type - 304 stainless steel, securely welded to the tubing. It comes with snap - on flange covers of type - 304, 22 - gauge stainless steel, 3 - 3/16 inches in diameter. Once installed, these covers slide down and snap over the flange, hiding the mounting hardware, protecting against tampering and vandalism.
Using this grab bar is easy. Just install it in the desired location following the included instructions. Make sure the surface is flat and strong enough to support it. When installing, be careful with the snap - on flange covers. After installation, check that the covers are properly snapped in place to protect the mounting hardware. For maintenance, simply wipe it with a soft, damp cloth regularly to keep it clean and looking good. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they may damage the satin finish. If you notice any signs of damage or loose parts, have them repaired or replaced as soon as possible.
