This commercial specimen cabinet offers a convenient way to transfer specimens from the patient area to the laboratory. It can be mounted in walls 3 to 10 inches thick with an adjustable flange. Made of Type 304 stainless steel with a satin finish, it's durable and stylish. The ADA-compliant interlocking mechanism stops both doors from opening simultaneously, providing a sight barrier. There's also a removable stainless steel spillage tray. The rough wall opening measures 12-3/8 inches wide and 12-3/8 inches high (314 x 314mm). The cabinet is fully constructed of 20 gauge (0.9mm) Type 304 stainless steel with all welded construction and satin-finished exposed surfaces. The two flanges are 18 gauge (1.2mm) Type 304 stainless steel, with one fixed and one adjustable for different wall depths. The two doors are 20 gauge (0.9mm) Type 304 stainless, and the interlock ensures only one door can be open at a time. The spillage tray is also made of 20 gauge (0.9mm) Type 304 stainless steel with all-welded construction. To operate, open the patient-side door to place samples inside, and the lab-side door won't open until the patient-side door is closed. For installation, cut the wall opening, insert the cabinet, drill through the mounting holes into the framing, insert screws and tighten, remove the paper backing from the adjustable wall flange, and slide it over the cabinet on the opposite side of the wall and press firmly against the wall. The unit meets ADA-ABA and ICC/ANSI A117.1 standards, can be operated with one hand using less than 5 pounds of force (22.2 N) without tight grasping, pinching or twisting of the wrist, and has a full-length stainless steel piano-hinge to secure the door to the cabinet.

Using this specimen cabinet is easy. First, open the door on the patient side and place the samples inside. Remember, the door on the lab side won't open until you close the patient-side door. This is a safety feature to keep things private and prevent any mix - ups. When installing, make sure to cut the wall opening to the right size (12 - 3/8 inches wide and high). Then insert the cabinet, drill holes into the framing through the provided holes, and tighten the screws. Don't forget to remove the paper backing from the adjustable wall flange and press it firmly against the wall on the other side. As for maintenance, since it's made of stainless steel, you can simply wipe it down with a mild cleaner regularly. Keep an eye on the spillage tray; you can remove it and clean it as needed. Also, check the interlocking mechanism occasionally to ensure it's working properly. Avoid using abrasive cleaners as they can scratch the satin finish of the cabinet.
